I had a serial number, but where to enter it wasn't contained in the help files. It didn't take too much effort to find where the code went but. Ocean Way give you several mixes created by Allen Sides and Steven Miller lifted from the Ocean Way Drums Gold Edition. Each kit comes in 3 pre-mixed preset flavors - Dry, Medium,.

Wondering whatever happened to Ocean Way Drums. I own the Silver pack and some extras, and they still sound great. It is a great pity OWD was not developed further.

The Kontakt script could be better. The cymbal and hihats could be slightly more natural (sometimes there is a touch of machine gun in them). Otherwise, these are very 3D indeed. SSD Platinum is a joke compared to these. The extra packs do compete with these but it's apples and oranges, as OWD is more like the raw stuff. BFD3 comes close but I am not sure at all whether it wins. It would be superior to everything to have OWD in BFD3.

Most certainly. More configurable in the sense of sound, not programming. This does not matter very much to be, because the samples will be 9/10 used outside of vendor shell or manually. Drum modules has some type of random, random (or by algorithm) MIDI notes can be generated, and as the coup-de-grace I'm not very fond of round-robin samples. Human random is not the same as mathematical random or computer pseudorandom.

It somehow ends up being more fake that just one triggered sample in 80's style, besides the genres I'm in often requires 'inhuman' style. Most certainly. Sampled round robin is the most realistic approach in sampled drums. The more the better. Of course those round robins need to be 'consistent' so that nothing stands out as being too different.

Toontrack are very good at this. BFD not so much since their technique is different in that they have more velocity samples and 'round robins' are borrowed and normalized from the nearest velocity neighbor so it can get kind of unnatural sounding imo. Agreed, Toontrack soft is more minimalistic but well-thought. Was upset when they're opted for propriertary format, like anyone was going to pirate them this way. For 99% modern people, samples without a 'vendor rompler' are useless. Bastelbogen Flugzeug Unfall. I still have old WAV libs. The Colony Season 2 Download Free. On velocity problem, detection in trigger software (and hw to be fair) itself usually won't give too believeable results.

Add flawed random in library + MIDI latency and you got horribly fake and inconsistent drums. Or good random will be blamed for drum module/plugin flaws. I'd rather capture timing than velocity perfectly. This usually means using module without MIDI at all. IMO drums can be openly electronic, but if the performance is authentic and timing is real human, it can still sound right.
